Episode 24: The Santa Clause

Across the world, he has many names: Kris Kringle, Pere Noel, and Topo Gigio. But we all know him as...Tim Allen? Yes, friends, with Christmas two weeks away, Josh takes a look at another Christmas movie from Walt Disney Pictures on the new Mousterpiece Cinema: 1994's The Santa Clause. He may have liked it as a kid, but is Josh as enamored of this holiday classic as an adult? Do the special effects still impress him? And what does he think about the Cosby sweaters Judge Reinhold wears? Find out on the new holiday-themed episode of Mousterpiece Cinema!

  1. I can't say I ever really thought about the dramatic aspects of this movie - ok, unintended dramatic aspects. :D Is it my imagination or is Hollywood littered with so-so, bad, and downright atrocious Christmas films? I know I'm going off the rails here, but how can it be that Bad Santa is right at the forefront of best holiday themed films in the last decade? Well, the Coen brothers might have had something to do with that. Does this mean you're going to have to review Ernest Saves Christmas? I salute your dedication.

    1. No, you're right--there are a lot of crappy Christmas movies, especially recently. And thankfully, I will not be watching Ernest Saves Christmas or any of the others, as it's not a Disney movie. But...whoof, that'd be a tough sit if I had to.
