Episode 383: Mary Poppins Returns

This sequel to the 1964 classic that made a star out of Julie Andrews stars Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, two Paddington Bears, and a whole lot of BMX bikes. (Because why else do you make a sequel to an old movie if not to have extreeeeeeeme stunts?) Scott and Josh are joined by friend of the show Kristen Lopez to talk about this new film, and while we wish we could tell you that we think this film is practically perfect, we...uh...don't. Instead, we're digging in deep into why the film struggles, whether or not it's an impossible task to improve upon the original, and why it's not a good thing that Ben Whishaw gives the film's best performance.
